Basically this is a cinema pass that lets one person get in for free when proof of DLA is made. Go to ceacard.co.uk for more detailed info. I have only just found out about it and have been on DLA for years. Will give it a test run when can breath again!!!!!!

thanks for that info i will certainly look into it as taking all 3 kids and hubby to the cinema can be very expensive so anything to save a few quid.

I have always found that I get in with a carer free without any problem, I just tell them when I book. I guess it might be a problem when I am motorised so I think I will apply for one.
Edited to add, I see they charge over £5 for processing, I already carry a copy of my DLA award and I suspect that will be enough certainly under the DDA they will have to let me have a carer with me so on balence because I am so obviously disabled and I go to the cinema maybe once a year I will risk it.
I am lucky in that i need proof i am disabled but then am house bound or costa bound when unwell. I dont drink and dont do clubs etc so pics and eating out are my main social events so a £5.50 processing fee is more than worth while for me.
Saying that have been politely asked not to return to a local cinema as had a bit of a do involving the pic and mix, the dark cinema and epi pens, not a good idea to ask a friend to just 'throw everything into the bag and sort it out later', my eyes are not what they used to be with all the preds lol!!!!
