Apologies if this has been covered before - I did a search but couldnt find anything.
I have relatively mild Asthma and a few days ago, I woke up having an asthma attack (it literally woke me up) and have absolutely no idea why. I wasnt near any triggers and hadnt been exposed to any for days. After a double dose of ventolin, it settled down and Im fine now (just a little tired).
any exercise the day before? It can appear a number of hours later. This happened to me the other night, 5 hours after my training session
Nope, it was my rest day. Its never happened before so Im rather intrigued as to what caused it.
Ive had the delay thing too but it just keeps me up during the night - Ive never gone the whole night then woken up having an attack. Its odd. xx
any chance you could have an infection brewing?
Ally
If it was a few days ago, I'd go with the weather being a possible cause - that was when we rapidly went from hot/humid to thunder/rain to a mix of everything. The weather really effects my asthma, both directly and because there's something about storms and pollen, can't quite remember what though!!
Thanks for all your replies.
The weather is probably the best bet although Im starting with a cold too! I know the humidity causes me to stay up half the night with my asthma and I usually get a headache with humidity too.
Im gonna give it another month or so as Im starting to get a little frustrated that the preventer (clenil modulite) Im on isnt doing its job and track so I can get another review.
I get frustrated when my asthma interferes with my sports training!
