Hi Carole and welcome to AUK!
I am sure one of the more experienced regulars will be able to give you specific help/support.
Take care,
Derek
Carole - I would say if you are worried about your asthma and by the sound of what you say then YES see a GP tomorrow!
GP's would rather you see them earlier when problems arise with asthma as its more easily treated and is safer for YOU too!
Good luck Carole and please let us know how you go on!
Welcome to Asthma UK Forums too (AUK)!
Im Donna aka Wheezer - one the many brittle asthmatics on here!
Just reporting back..
I went to the doctors this morning in as an emergnancy , after problems trying to get an appointment. I have been put on a short 3 day course of steriod tablets, but must must go back if it gets worst. Thank-you both for your advise.
Hello Carole,
Glad you went to see GP today.
Please don't be worried about seeing your doctor with asthma symptoms If they are worrying you at all.
The earlier they can be controled the better you will feel.
Do you have an treatment plan or one of the asthma cards?
A treatment plan (filled in by GP or Asthma nurse) will tell you when to step up treatment and when to get help.
Take care
Kate

I am very pleased to hear that GP has given you some treatment!
For those people who don't take a regular steroids a 3 day course can do alot of good hun!
If after the course things stay the same or before if things get worse please go back to your GP as they asked!
Like Kate said and I said before its alot easier for a GP to treat you earlier on than if things get really bad hun!
(((Hugs))) to you Carole and stick around we mad as hatters here!
Pop over to camping2 thread where most of us hang out lol!
Everyone is welcome here lol!
Take care hun!
