Can high dose steroid inhalers cause mood changes in young children?

Hi, First time I've ever posted on a discussion forum. My 5yr old was admitted to hospital and diagnosed with asthma 4 months ago and was started on high dose steroid inhaler. Over the last few months we've noticed he sometimes flies into a rage and as those times has a really uncontrollable temper. This is very out of character for him especially to such a degree. I suddenly realised it has been since he's been on the asthma treatment and just wondered if anyone else had experienced this too? Or am I clutching at straws?
