Its happened again and I feel worse than I have in a while with my asthma. Ive been struggling and getting frustrated with myself as usual. I ended up in a and e last week and the biggest hit was to my pride. I thought I was over the hill and would have no more of this rubbish. But no, I was wrong. Again.
40mg of pred is making me feel so low which so isnt helping and I guess, I just needed to offload as this week is starting in such a bad way healthwise. My chest is bad, pred is making me moody and I just feel so... well... yeah.
It didnt help that I lost my hamster Yoda on Sunday who passed away from old age.

Hey there,
Sorry you're not feeling so good right now and sorry to hear about Yoda too. Can't really do anything about the Pred but feel free to PM any time if you need to chat/rant/moan etc! Take care.

look at the postive side 12 weeks without costa is good start!
I got told not to expect to go costa free so any periods of time away from is postive.... asthma has a habit of coming back but disappearing again so after over this blip could be 14 weeks and so on
sorry about your hamster...never nice to loose a pet
Hello
I have been on Pred since 22/7, and just as I was on the reducing dose had another chest infection so back up to high dose again. Back on reducing now. I suffer with nearly all the side effects that prednisolone can cause, and can empathise with how you are feeling, up and down like a yoyo, either overactive or dozy, stomach problems, even more hairs sprouting on my chin, and acne on a 52 year old looks really strange. I avoid them like the plague, but on rare occassions they are the only option. It is either take them or don't breathe - not a real choice really.
Hope you feel better soon - it takes me 6 months to get them out of my system, and its not even Winter yet!!
