It is with great sadness that I am posting to say the Becky Harvey (Bex) passed away yesterday at home.
Bex will be known to many of us who have used this forum for many years.
She was an amazing woman who had time for anyone and was always there to listen despite both her severe asthma and more recently other health problems.
For me she was an inspiration and I know she will be truely missed by all those whose lives she touched.
please leave any messages here or on her FB page(Becky Harvey)
That is so sad. She and her wise words will be greatly missed here.
Bryony

R,I.P XXXXXX
Like Hops I have just caught up with this news on FB, and am deeply saddened.
Bex was always very supportive, ready to champion what was right and speak out against what she felt was wrong. In recent years she was a valued addition to the moderating team and was never afraid to disagree or put across another point of view. She was always upbeat despite her many health problems.
Bex, you touched so many of us with your own special way of always being upbeat despite so many difficulties, you're one very special person and sadly never had the pleasure to meet in person but you will be greatly missed, my love and thoughts to your family.
Chris xx

I am very sad to hear this news. My thoughts are with Bex's friends and family, they have suffered such a huge loss. I did not know Bex outside of Asthma UK here but from her helpful and informative posts I could tell she was a intelligent, wise and determined lady who lived her life to the fullest. Rest in peace Bex, you will be greatly missed. xx
I am so sad to hear this news. Bex was a wonderful support to everyone here and will be greatly missed.
Can't believe the news. I will always remember your nutty camping tales and the amount of times you provided a listening ear to an ignorant newbie. You'll always be remembered for your upbeat spirit and calming presence. R.I.P Bex, you'll ever be missed. xxx

Becky
HI All,
I am Becky's sister and on behalf of all her family would just like to thank you for all the kind and comforting words at this difficult time. They mean such a lot to us. Becky was such an inspiration to not just her friends but also to her family. She was a wonderful Mum, wife, daughter and sister and words can't express how much we will miss her. A shinning light has gone out in our lives. It so great to hear what an impact and difference she made to people even when she was so poorly. I know how how important this site and its followers were to her so please in her honour, never give up and keep fighting.
RIP Bex, you will be missed. Love and sympathy to all her friends and family xxx
RIP Bex; thoughts and condolences to family. Blessing to you
Deepest sympathy to family and friends of bex. Andrew
Not only was Bex willing to share her knowledge about asthma and how to deal with it, but she was also unafraid to speak her mind. Bex truly was the sort of person who wouldn’t have hesitated to tell the Emperor that he wasn’t wearing any clothes let alone new ones.
This is very sad news, my thoughts are with Bex's family and friends.
Rest in peace Bex.
Oh my, so sad to hear this news about Bex, God be with her family at this time.
Gill
Sorry to hear this sad news. RIP Bex
Rip Bex xx You helped me loads when i was going back and forth to RBH, kept me sane sometimes and made me see sense at others xx
I'm very sad to read this. Bex will be sorely missed as she was an expert and was true to herself. My thoughts are with her family. She spoke very highly of the treatment and care she received from the asthma team at the Brompton and am sure they did all they could for Bex.
So sorry to read this. My sympathies to her family and friends.
Claire
rip Bex sending love to family and friends xx
My condolences to Bex's family and friends at this sad time. Courageous, wise and sometimes frank in expressing her points of view, she was supportive to others on this forum and will be missed.
Bex
I am so sorry to read this sad news, i didn't know Bex but i imagine loved by everyone, love and peace xxx
Very, very sad news indeed. It's taken me a day or so to assimilate it and be able to write any kind of reply at all, and now that I'm here I can't find the words, other than to say my thoughts and prayers are with Bex and all her family.
Rest in peace bex. You will be missed greatly.
Bex was amazing, I can't believe it.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

The posts seem different without her... sometimes i wish i could meet all you guys in person, cause every single one of you is special to me here and i do not know what i would have done without you all! xxx R.I.P. Bex. you are terribly missed by us all here, even the ones who never saw your face xxx
Bex never failed to be horrified by my inability to assist with the guardian crossword when we were in Rbh together. No matter how ill she was she always found an escape route or bribed a nurse to assist her to come visit me if I was on a different ward. She was a fantastic support to me and helped enormously with guiding me through the minefield of fighting for a child with dyslexia, I owe her so much and I will miss her incredibly.
So sad to hear this. I only tend to read and post here sporadically - usually when things have changed or when looking for answers, and often those answers came from Bex ...
Just wanted to add my condolences to her family - I know from her many posts how much they meant to her
Many thanks for the posts over the years. With my thoughts to family amd friends. Rest in peace.
John

So sad
I am a newbie and I am very sad to have missed Bex and that I will not be able to meet her or benefit form her wisdom and support.
I send my deepest sympathy and support to her family and freinds at this difficult time.
Bex we will all miss you!! It's so sad that you will not be on msn or facebook or here again offering advice and support and being your full of life and bubbly self anymore! I will really miss our random chats though it has been a wee while since our last one! I am so sorry I have been so busy with random (looking back unimportant) things that I have not had chance to catch up in a while. I feel really sad about that!
Will really miss you, your Witt and your advice take care now hon. Breathe easy, rest in peace and (mind the Walls ;-)) Xxxxxx
RIP Bex, you were a great support to so many people on here. My thoughts are with your family and friends.
