i've put on 2 stone since being on pred since end of last year - severely unimpressed but can't stop the munchies!
I know what you mean about permanent pred, though when I get on a lower dose discipline does work a bit!

..... now where was that chocolate..........
I am on 40mg pred at the moment and am really really struggling with the munchies - I always seem to want to eat junk food too - like chocolate and crisps!!
Think pred may have made me addicted to Kitkats - any excuse!! x
pred munchies
i believe pred does induce a higher appetite, as soon as i started on pred as a kid my appetite increased and so did my weight i spent many years especially through high school being very overweight, since i have got older and not had pred half as much my weight has dropped considerably. kid photo's is very embarassing, right billy bunter i was LOL
i am currently craving minstrels - and not the small bags either!
Nearly 4 stone heavier thanks to two years of continual pred. boy do I want to get off this stiff and return to my normal self.
trouble is when I'm really trying to eat healthily and not give in to the munchies I have been known to be woken up by the other half raiding the freezer for frozen peas in the middle of the night.
