It sounds like a great opportunity, and I'm sure you'll be brilliant! Keeping my fingers crossed that your asthma stays at home!
good luck, hope your lungs hold out.
yay! Is that Over the Wall by any chance? A friend used to volunteer with the siblings camp and loved it - only stopped because she moved to Cambodia.
Crossed fingers asthma behaves.
Haha! If it is Over The Wall.... im going there as a camper LOL!! .. be afraid, very afraid
It is Over the Wall....
I think you should be the one to be afraid Chloe.... Me as a leader!
How exciting for you. Hope your lungs behave and you can really enjoy it.
Haha Lol... im so excited! hehe! cant wait!
Yeah- Though i got told its a massive place with hills so I am expected to walk around the site which is slightly worring!!
or you could hitch a ride on the back of my eletric chair....
bring my rollar skates then... my plan is to ""volunteer"" to supervise the kids that will be using the minibus and I am hoping that they will plan it so dont have to walk to far inbetween as these children could have problems too!
Ive got a plan, religous nebs and up my steriods (might add my steriod nebs too) its not too far from home, looked up nearest hospital (just happens they know me was local to my old job!) the doctors on site willing to dose me up with IV Hydro but anything more its hospital!
Good for you Bizkid. Hope your lungs behave.
I used to go to another course at Bryanston (actually it must be on now, you'll overlap!) Lovely place to be, but like you say lots of the kids probably have difficulty walking around too so should be plans in place.
Wonder if they still have the omelettes...
i have no idea where this place is that your going - but can i come!! sounds fun
good luck, fingers crossed you be goin alone, asthma stays at home!!

Hi Bizkid,
Congratulations!! I did Camp America when I was in my 20's at a camp for children and adults with learning difficulties and still have the wonderful memories now. It is very tiring though so relax whenever you can during the week!
HAVE FUN!!!
Jac xx
I did camp america when I was 18 in a girl scouts camp in San Diego before my asthma days and knowing what was expected of me then i couldnt do it again. But enjoyed it so much!!
Snowy- Only reson I was volunteering was so I could do the actvties!!! The School is the side of Salisbury in Blanford (about an hour from where I live)
Ive been forced to pull out unfortunatly Ive picked up an infection and due to it being a big asthma trigger and having children who are prone to pick up infections best for me to stay at home. I think if I went would end up in costa running around and infection (lucky I am managing out of costa... just)
