Going underground...

I am hoping to start voluntary work giving tours of a tunnel in the city that was used for transporting coal in the 19th century, and then was used as a bomb shelter in ww2. I had a brief tour last weekend, and today I'm going for the full 2 hour tour! So this is when I learn whether I can cope with 2 hours underground in the pitch dark, without even considering the reduced oxygen levels. Levels have to be min 20% oxygen for the tours to run, fingers crossed all will be ok with that.

It's really fascinating.

Wow, that sounds fascinating. I wish you lots of luck with it, Piglet.

All was well in the tunnel :) I've been invited with the other guides to an afternoon exploring some parts of the tunnels not open to the public, which will be very cool if I can make it. This section apparently has lots of stalactites and stalagmites.

Quite exciting!
