The great thing about the Harry Potter books is that they got children reading. Long may it continue and get them away from the TV/Playstation/Xbox etc. Now we need to get them playing outside more and for parents to be less protective and mollycodling of their kids.
I'm so excited!
I'm really looking forward to it. I'm going (for the first time) to the midnight opening.

I tried to read one of Rowling's tedious tomes once. Am I the only one left cold by Potter mania?

Im going to get my copy tomorrow as Im not feeling too great today. Watched JKR reading the first chapter, sounds really good, cant beleive people are spoiling it.
Finished it at 3.15pm this afternoon - brilliant but sad it is last one!! Enjoy

*note to self-never read a highly confusing book for seven hours with no glasses!!* I went to see the New Movie in 3D. It is fab but they leave alot out of it.
Collected 5 copies at midnight. I had read my copy by 3.30am (I freely admit it was speed read) and I have since read it again to pick up on the detials. Children all stuggled with it and took a lot of encourgagement to finish. Like the last one it is 450 pages of drivell and 150 worth reading, it was getting them through the first 450 that was hard.

Polly you are not alone. I haven't read any of them. I did try watching the first film on tele but fell asleep very quickly. Everybody else does seem to enjoy them though.
I finished mine in 8 hours, I do feel sad that its over, but I dont feel a desperate need for another book in the series straight away either,which is good..
well got mine sat am but had to go out to music course when got bk till 10ish so found mum reading it when got home and as shes gone to see my sis in cardiff HP gone as well. Luckly card came from library yesterday so picked up copy there so still reading. cud have done with it in costa last night but was in car. back to it now me thinks

finished my library copy at 1.30this am sort of got hooked last night since got it tues am and been on course all week till around 10 from 10 in am not bad i don't think well not if you count the hrs spent in costa on tues eve with harry potter still in car and me bored and breathless.
did anyone else Hear that JK Rowling is bringing Out another Book? She is calling it the Harry Potter encyclopaedia(sp). It will have everything about Harry Potter in it. OOOHH! NEED TO BUY GLASSES!
Katharine - Tescos is closer to me - Asda is 10 miles away - would cost petrol to get there LOL! Keeping my Carbon footprint to a size 3 LOL!
