Michael Jackson Dead
I'm watching on Sky News. It's such a shock!
Was on an ITV news flash last night. Yes, bit of a shock.
Dare I admit this..... Saw him in 1988 at Milton Keynes Bowl.... well I was with St John Ambulance.... front stage.
I did like some of his earlier music up to Bad etc but I did find him very strange.
He was a very tallented musician.

wow! just read it on bbc news!
I have a ticket for one of his gigs at the O2. There is no doubt that as an artist, he was one of the best, no was the best, according to the news he is the greatest album sales ever, personally, he may have acted weird, but then was some of that purely down to the fact that he didn't have a childhood, he was basically a performer from the age of 5, so is it any wonder he acted differently to most.
I think Chris is spot on - his parents (and his father in particular) have a lot to answer for.
Just having tuned into Mr Vine on Radio 2 at lunchtime, didn't cotton on that MJ had died until I logged on to AUK. No doubt this guy had talent, and I did like some of his stuff though not a fan. But I have found the later years of his life extremely bizarre, and like the time he dangled his son out of a hotel window I found myself looking at this man with great distaste. The media no doubt made more of his bizarre behaviour than they should have done, but the media rarely does nice things to celebrities, but
MJ did little to discourage their treatment of him in his later years, so would have needed to accept some responsiblity for certain people's perception of him.
He can't have been a happy man in my opinion, to have put himself through so much surgery to change his appearance so radically, go on extreme shopping trips and surround himself with children, animals and beautiful possessions. Yes his father was a very controlling figure in his childhood years (and many of the other Jacksons have had their fair share of issues too) but its MJ that decided to lead his later life in the way that he did, it led him to be ridiculed by many and at times land himself in a court of law, MJ became an adult and he alone
was the one responsible for his life not his father. MJ was once a very wealthy man and I am sure if he so wanted could have got guidance if he felt it was wrong to lead the lifestyle he did. He obviously decided that by living the way he did was right, and so had to accept the way some people perceived him.
Many of his fans will mourn him but I expect the conspiracy theories will start now, and many people will claim sightings of him. But soon like Elvis his memory will be confined to the past and tomorrow another celebrity will hit the headlines dead or alive.
yes shocking news
I heard that he died whilst in hospital , Only 50 years old too. Very tragic and he will be missed because he was a brillant performer, singer, dancer. His family will be distraught and his fans will show their despair. Micheal entertained us for well over 45years what an achievement. Life is precious!

I grew up bopping along to Michael Jackson.
Whatever his problems, and we all have those, I will always remember Michael Jackson as the consummate performer; singing, dancing, songwriting… a true artist.
He brought light and life into all performances.
Even those a second generation younger and who are from all cultures across the world continue to be influenced by his music in a positive way.
RIP Michael Jackson.
To dispell the rumours that Michael had been suffering from skin cancer,it was announced that the real cause of his death was a fall after tripping over his childs pram;as the coroner put it:
""Dont blame it on the sunshine,
Blame it on the buggy
