IRON MAIDEN are on the guardion website. People want MAIDEN to open the 2012 olimpics.

As a MAIDEN fan big time, all my children have a name that is because of this fab band I joined the face-book group about MAIDEN being the opening act for the 2012 olimpics and then today I notice they are on the guardions websitre. What a trun aroudn for this band and for the world of metal. My hubbie, me and my 2 older kids are very happy this is being proposed and we really hope they get offered the chance to do this. Miaden are so big all aroudn the world because of how far they have taken metal they have had to get there own plane for doing their gigs. The travel to places like Japan, America, India,and all over Europe. So I was wondering how many other AUKers are behind Maiden being the opening act for the 2012 olimpics.

So they should! Why should all these manufactured (famous for five minutes) talentless fakes have the honour? My liking for Iron Maiden lessened a bit after their Man On The Edge single so my main fave band happens to be Sheffield based Fantasy/Black/Barbarian metal band called Bal-sagoth.

I saw them on the dance of death tour back in December 2003 it was a early christmas present of my hubbie and I would go and see them again as I loved it. Judas priest are amazing too and I love the way Halford singers but my fav singer is Ronnie James Dio (R.I.P Ronnie you are a legend) followed very close by Bruce. Funny enough all 3 of my kids have a name linked to Maiden because of how big of a fan's me and my hubbie are. I have voted for Maiden to be the opening act but I guess only time will tell if they get the opening slot or not
