Hi I'm cara mum to Maya aged 6. Just thought I would say hello. Maya has had a perstistant night time cough for what seems like ages and coughing when exercising (especially during her swimming lessons - teacher tends to end up throwing her something to hold on to while she catchs her breath and gets to the side) Have been to see nurse she suspect asthma but doesn't want to say for definite yet - she started maya on ventolin for a week which seemed to help and then put her on to a preventer inhaler have to go back at end aug for review - things seem to be improving

None of my family have had asthma so it is all new to me and rather confusing at times.

We are due to go to Barbados in a few weeks for my sisters wedding - will I need to amend her travel insurance? and is the difference in temp likely to affect her out there?
