We have recently found out that our daughter has been mis diagnosed with Asthma over two years ago! Which is sort of a relief as nothing we were trying medication wise was working and the sleepless nights and weightloss just continued! Although i do wish the GP, Frendoc, Asthma nurse and Emergency had listened to me in the first place and not just fobbed me off by saying 'its just another virus'! But we have now been told that she has Bronchiectasis and we are waiting at this moment for a diagnosis on the cause of the bronchiectasis. Has anyone heard of young children with this before(she is 7yrs)and is there support out there for families living with it? As it seems that we are starting all over again learning about another chronic lung condition, but not sure where to turn.
