Had a trans vaginal scan last Thursday and a pelvic scan - am 52 and still having periods - three months ago I missed one then had a light one then a normal one then it just didn’t stop and I’ve been bleeding for four weeks

Been prescribed 30mg of Provera and transamic acid 6 a day and it’s not stopped it completely but spotting still

Last night found myself in a and e for wee in my blood - turns out they think it was blood from vagina just mixed with urine

Bloods done all normal not even anaemic! Which was surprising

However they said as I was bleeding for four weeks they got the gynae doc down and she said she will fast track me for hysterscopy within two weeks as my lining is 22 mm!!!!

Got home and just can’t stop shaking with fear

Anyone had this

Hi there,

Thank you for your post, and we're so sorry to hear that you are having a worrying time at the moment.

If you would like to have a chat about what's going on and you're upcoming hysteroscopy with our gynae nurse specialist, please email nurse@eveappeal.org.uk with your phone number and when are convenient times to phone you over the next couple of days.

Best Wishes,

The Ask Eve Team
