I recently had my first face-to-face appointment with my cardiologist since before lockdown. My heart failure symptoms have worsened significantly in the past couple of months. The doctor said all he had available to help was to increase the dosage of Eplerenone and Bumetanide. That was almost two weeks ago and there is still no sign of my prescription being changed despite me making two phone calls to my GP practice and two to the cardiologist's secretary. The situation is really not helping my usual state of anxiety. Is this sort of delay usual these days?

The revised prescription has been issued and I'm now waiting for the pharmacy to do their bit. There have been delays and errors at each stage since I saw my cardiologist. With newly confirmed class 4 heart failure I have to rely upon the NHS. I just can't trust any of it to support me though.
