Entersto and kidney functioning

Respected dear colleagues,

Does ENTERSTO (Sacubatril / Valsartan) is effective in improving LVEF?

Can it result in lifting the fluid restriction?

Does the usage affect our kidneys?

Can it be administered to dilated cardiomyopathy patients?

What are the other side effects?

Your valuable guidance is solicited please

Hi Vivi

I have found this drug to have restored my ability to have a conversation for a short time as I just got so out of breath when talking previously. I was on enalapril 40mg per day and I'm now on 400mg of entresto per day initially having been on 200mg per day. According to the blood tests it is not having any adverse effects on my kidneys .What is your dose?

I have been on Entresto for 2 months now and my kidney function is stable. I have also been able to reduce Furosemide to 40mgs per day from 60mgs.

Hi I have been just switched to entresto from rampiril It is too early to say for me whether this is a better medicine but I certainly feel an awful lot better. I have to state as a caveat that I also had water removed and this could be why I’m feeling so much better. Anyway my kidney function will be tested soon and I’m not expecting any problems I will update the forum as and when possible
