Hi... anyone in Nottingham who's had more children after PP? I've just found out I'm pregnant. My first is almost 6 now, but I was very poorly first time round and was just wondering what others did in regards to care plans etc. ?

Anyone in Nottingham?
Hello Victoria1982
Congratulations on your pregnancy .... I think you wrote earlier about having a second child and how poorly you were with your first.
I don't live in Nottingham but wondered if you have seen the PP Insider Guide "Planning Pregnancy : A Guide for women at high risk of Postpartum Psychosis" at app-network.org/what-is-pp/.... On page 11 there is information about "Developing a care plan for pregnancy and birth" which might be helpful?
Also I searched under 'care plans' and there is a post from a while ago with some good replies under "Second child soon to be due". If you type this into the search box at the top right of the forum page, then click filter 'my communities' you should find it.
Wishing all the very best .... we are all here to support you along the way. x
Hi Victoria1982
Congratulations on your pregnancy I don’t live in Nottingham so am not sure what services are available to support you, but hopefully you will have access to a perinatal mental health team. You should get referred in by your GP or midwife I think once you’re booked in.
I had a second child in 2016 after having PP with my first son in 2012. Fortunately I stayed well second time around - my GP, midwife and health visitor were all great and I had some input from a perinatal MH team antenatally though they only did an outreach service in my area at the time. They helped me put a plan together and I found reading about other people’s plans and experiences on here really helpful too - as Lilybeth suggested you can search for past posts about second pregnancies and planning...
The APP guide Lilybeth has shared a link to is a really good resource too, I hope you find it helpful.
I hope you’re feeling ok, it’s an anxious time I know. I found putting plans in place really helped me to feel more confident that if PP did strike again we at least knew what we were dealing with and would know what to do. I basically planned for the worst and hoped for the best but did put some measures in place to try and reduce the risk of recurrence - I opted to take a low dose of medication after the birth and as sleep deprivation seemed to be a major factor for me, I had help with the nights and formula fed.
I’m sure you’ll find good support here and do ask any questions.
Look after yourself.
