Is it PEs again?

I've been having heart palpitations for two days now. Happens when I'm doing nothing but sitting on the couch or laying in bed. Hard to get to sleep because the palpitations scare me. I've also been extremely stressed the past couple days and drink coffee almost everyday (none today on purpose, dont want to exacerbate the palpitations). I'm afraid that maybe I have blood clots in my lungs again.

Hi kmbrown87, it does sound as if you are very anxious because of your fear of more blood clots. That fear alone can cause these palpitations to happen. Worry alone is enough to start them off, and you feel them more when you are sitting quietly or in bed because you aren't distracted in any way. It's most likely a physical manifestation of the worries in your head, but a very real one. I think you need some proper professional reassurance and I'd recommend taking your fears to your doctor and explaining honestly how this is affecting your mental and physical health.
