Shame, I was seriously considering the ketogenic diet/fasting.

As far as I know, the presence of elevated very long chain fatty acids is merely a biomarker of the disease . They are saying now, that attempting to lower them does nothing to halt disease progression. Specifically through diet. Therefore adopting a ketogenic diet would not be a problem. In fact through my research, it would be beneficial as it helps inflammation. Read the Wahls Protocol.
