Husband worry.

72 year old hubby on sertraline for anxiety becoming very forgetful and repetitive. Friends are noticing. Afraid to go to doctor in case of outcome and being labelled. Is there medication that will help if it is alzeimers.

There are a couple of options which have been shown to slow down the progress of the disease, though they don’t work for everyone. I wish i’d managed to get them for my mum, who has deteriorated so rapidly in a year that nothing can help her now 🥲 Whilst it’s frightening to confront, at least accessing help early may help to retain a better quality of life for longer.

Thank you for your reply Jacs. It's a worry to confront especially facing the reality. I need to have a good discussion with hubby to see how he feels.
