Ozone Therapy

Has anyone ever heard of/used ozone therapy to help calm down inflammation? We're in the middle of a huge flare up of my son's skin, trying to track down the trigger - his skin has been fire engine red, flaking and eyes swollen for multiple days now. The integrative doctor we are seeing is encouraging us to try Ozone Therapy. (blood is pulled out through IV, mixed with saline, ozone added, passes through UV light, then put back into patient). Sounds crazy, but we're that desperate. Feedback appreciated.

I'm sorry I have no knowledge/experience with this method of treatment. It seems like its success is tied to the skill of the practitioner. Sending best wishes for healing to your son.draxe.com/health/ozone-ther...

I just bought a book entitled "Ozone: The Miracle Therapy" by Dr. David Brownstein. It includes over 30 case studies of people who have been helped with ozone therapy for conditions such as arthritis, autoimmune disease, cancer, fatigue, infections...It seems to be a safe therapy with few side effects. Basically, it acts as an antibacterial, antiparasitic, antiviral and antifungal medicinal therapy. My husband's holistic periodontist will be using it on him for work that needs to be done in his mouth next week.
