Hello Cowsrock, I was once in the same situation, but recently a friend of my told me to start using a herb called Black Seed, and it's been doing Wonder's for my pain, as my pain has reduced, I use it in the Morning and before going to be, maybe you can give it a try. If you need anymore information about it let me know

Hi

This sounds like something my sister can try, she recently has got worse. She's had fibro for over 2 years, last 2 weeks had new pains and has been in bed for the last 2 weeks. Can you give a link for this herb please so i can try it for her? Thank you very much :)

Hi

It's so difficult isn't it as the body gets used to medication forming a dependence and tolerance which means you get used to a dose easily. This is the risk with strong opioids for pain as you need a stronger dose increase so often to have the same effect and you are then more open to all the risks associated with these medications.

I can understand the NHS wanting to reduce the use of these and other high risk medications for chronic pain. Plus also think it is good to review people's medications regularly to make changes as medical situation changes, however worried that people living with chronic pain are asked to reduce without any substitutes being made available.

It's hard what to say to you as at the moment there is very little alternatives and ways to treat the pain if morphine is not longer helping. We might need to start a petition to say if you want to reduce the use of these medications provide alternatives that can be legalised for medical use etc.

Have you been to a pain clinic? What other medications have you tried?

Hoping the pain eases soon

Emma :)

cowsrock Have you tried CBD Oil? It is important if you do to take 2 hrs before or after medication. :)

You can get it online the best good quality stuff but to try it you could get from Holland & Barrett. Apparently should be taken 2hrs before medications or 2hrs after. Hope it helps :)
