Arrhythmia Alliance and AF Association are partnering with Heart Rhythm Society to find patients and family members/caregivers to participate in a focus group to help with an important research study into the use of AI for educating patients with atrial fibrillation (AFib).

We want to hear your voice as a patient, family member or caregiver, during the pre-deployment phase - that is, before we launch this AI-powered education tool. Your feedback will help us shape how AI can be used to responsibly and effectively provide trustworthy, empathetic, and accessible health information.

When AI tools are being developed to help patients learn about conditions like AFib, patients and their family members or caregivers are rarely consulted. We want to change that. By sharing your thoughts, you will help us to:

• Improve trustworthiness, empathy, and accuracy in AI-driven health education.

• Ensure AI tools meet real-world needs before they are widely used.

• Contribute to the responsible use of AI in patient care.

Who Can Participate:

We are looking for:

✔️ Patients with atrial fibrillation based in the U.S.

✔️ Family members or other caregivers supporting a patient with AFib based in the U.S.

What Is Involved:

• A 90-minute virtual focus group to interact with and share your thoughts on a generative AI education tool (generative AI is a learning tool that lets you ask questions and then finds and generates the answers to them)

• Compensation for your time will be $200 in the form of a check or electronic transfer

Study risk is exceedingly low. There are no medical procedures, just sharing your thoughts in a secure and confidential setting.

Interested?

To join the study visit: surveymonkey.com/r/AI_AFib_...

Your participation can help ensure AI tools are built with patients and family members/caregivers in mind.

Thank you for your consideration and participation!
