Hi everyone.

firstly thank you for this amazing platform it has helped me so much.

I know you are not medically trained or someone off you might be ❤️

I just wanted to show you thease 3 different readings I keep getting and it’s making me feel very unwell…as I get so dizzy and feel like I am going to faint plus shortness of breaths….

I have had 3 cardiac ablations over the last 4 years and I am taking flecanide and blood thinners everyday. Just feeling so unwell with this and not sure what to do…

Thank you ❤️

Any tips would be so much appreciated ❤️

Can’t seam to upload more then one but will in the comments as they are two very different once…

I'm no expert on ECG s although the first one looks a bit like atrial flutter. With an ongoing heart rate circa 140 bpm you should seek medical attention particularly with the symptoms you describe.

I would certainly take a trip to A&E or , at the very least see your GP. Is there an arrhythmia nurse at your hospital that you could speak to? We have one at my local hospital who is very accessible and I'm able to send Kardia readings to.

Thank you for your reply

. I have sent it into the cardiologist and he hasbsaid he will look over it today. it's just sometimes so heartbreaking having and feeling like this.... as I get very symtomatic with this and always have over the last 4 years...cant seam to exercise or sometimes even walk... I am not afraid of it its just more frustration sometimes as I am not the same I was due to this and sometimes that's hard but staying positive ❤️

I understand what you are saying. I've had AF on and off between procedures for 32 years and always been very compromised with it.

I do hope that your cardiologist can help. It doesn't sound like Flecainide is doing you much good. It didn't work for me.

You need to show those to your medics. You are having significant pauses between some heart beats.

Thank you.

I know and it makes one feeling very poorly in such a strange way....

I think you should go to A&E as soon as possible with these ECGs.

Your symptoms are compatible with complete heart block, atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation.

In my non medical opinion.

Echo above, without alarming you, these pauses need attention. Also ,in my non medical opinion ,but having had many of these readings the top is atrial flutter, combined with high heart rate. Go and get sorted. Best wishes ❤️

Thank you ❤️ I know and they are really uncomfortable and they make you feel so unwell.

And please tell us how you got on! As an aside, people often ask when to go to A&E with AF or similar. One answer is if you feel dizzy or faint, so hope you went!

Thank you ❤️

I have sent all the readings to my cardiologist this morning to see what he thinks.

he said he would come back to me to day so here is to hoping🧚‍♀️

its just sometimes very hard living with this... I have excepted that it is what it is but it still can get you down somedays.... not afraid of it but more just tired of it if that makes sense....

I would be surprised if they change your meds and remove flecainide. It can cause arrhythmias in some people. It’s contraindicated for me and I’m unable to take it.

Yor ECG look a bit like mine. They show a "wide QRS" which, if it's a the same as me, is a "Left branch bundle block". The pauses are a part of this. It's not a bad thing to have unless it's part of other cardiac problems, but, despite online reports that it is often symptomless, I find (as others here have reported) that it can cause mild light-head, brain fog and breathless feelings and, as ever, anxiety.

Others have suggested you let your doctor see these, and, of course, you should do that. But, in my experience, it's nothing major to be worried about. Let's hope not. If the pauses are over several seconds, then this is more of a concern but, again, nothing that a specialist can't help sort out.

You'll be fine once you get properly treated.

Steve, this is wide QRS

Yes - I have a range of "widths" with mine, many looking like yours, some narrower but with a dimple on the peak showing that the left ventricle is contracting later than the right side. My 10 hours of AF today has been pretty wide (below).

Did you think the OP's ECG didn't show a wide QRS? I didn't calculate it but the R wave looked much like mine.

In my non medical opinion the 2nd two look like AF but with some long pauses that would make you feel dizzy I'd think. The first looks very different and from googling atrial flutter might well be that. Ppin Hope you get the support you need on this.

Hi

Flec.... is not a heart Rate Control med.

At 143 beats per minute at rest you will need one.

FLec is an anti-arrhythmic med only. It tries to moderate your rhythm of your AF.

I was changed to CCB Diltiazem when Beta Blockers did not control - 100 or under my rapid H/Rate.

But strangely my Night rate went down to 47avg bpm every Night from Metopolol 186 and Bisoprolol 156 DAY.

You ought to be under a Heart Specialist as Drs give beta blockers not calcium channel blockers.

The 1/2 dose 180mg CD Diltiazem CCB worked within 2 hours bringing down my rapid AF H/Rate from 156 to 51 so my dose was quickly reduced to 120mg CD. I've been on it 3 years 3 months! A private H/Specialist introduced it immediately and Bisoprolol reduced and reduced. Last December with low BP I stopped the 1.5mg. More energy, walking further and huge improvement.

You will need an ECHO scan asap.

And a 24hr Heart Monitor will gage your Heart Rate throughout 24 hours.

ECHO to check abnormal damage.

Take care JOY. 76 (NZ)
