hi Gertsen, I had leg pain also when starting Bisoprolol. It was mainly in one leg at night. I changed to taking Bisoprolol when I went to bed - it actually helped me sleep and also I think I got used to the meds - no leg pain as such now but I am still stiff and sore in the mornings - cured with 10 minutes of yoga. The positive impact of the med definitely outweighed this adjustment - fewer ectopics, less volatile HR and lower BP - has really helped post ablation. Hope it settles down for you.

I don't know about pain as such but my legs, knees down, both feel like they are burning and itch like mad and of course I dare not scratch for fear of infection. I have poor circulation plus take 4 different drugs for fluid overload so I put it down to that rather than the Bisoporal, of which I take 10mg each morning. Does anyone else get this?

I do. I get burning and tingling sensation which started on lower knee but is travelling up the leg. I have been to see GP and he said it was Peripheral Neuropathy and has referred me to the neuro clinic. I think it's bisoprolol myself which I have been on a low dose, until recently, for a long time.

I actually think it is venal and was prescribed compression socks/stockings etc., and told to wear them only for the cardiac team to say not to wear them sooooooo what's a girl to do lol

Did they give you any reason why not to wear them? I have varicose veins in one leg, and try to wear them but they are so tight to get on and off and even the ones with "comfort" tops leave deep marks that I only wear them when travelling.

I am in heart failure and perm A/F with fluid overload exacerbating things, the cardiac nurse specialist said that they didnt know what happened to the fluid as it reached the knee!!!! I didnt understand either and of course as these things are so uncomfortable took the easy option however have started to wear them again due to the burning and itching sensation in my legs
