so I am on my second box of bisoprolol 5mg and this box the tablets are tiny and in a heart shape . How can there be the same amount in this tiny tablet as the other one I was on (5mg) round ones . I know this may be a silly question

Because the larger ones are full of filler. I take a variety of different tablets and no two months are ever the same. If it says X mg on the box then they are Xmg.
I have had the same experience when I picked the prescription up from a different chemist. They have the same amount in them.
There are online pill identification sites if you want to compare different versions of bisoprolol 5mg.
One site is drugs.com which also has a tool for checking interactions. Though the site is USA based, I imagine there's a lot of crossover with UK drug supplies. For example, here's the 63 results for identifying all bisoprolol pills. Just focus on the 5mg pills ...
I take my PITP Bisoprolol when my heart races away-- have found 1/2 a tablet is enough to control. If I take a whole tablet, can make ne feel weak. My GP advised this! I get bigeminy beats (n twos) from time to time- can be brought on after eating certain foods or eating.Take care

At a guess the heart shaped are mini asprin.
So check them.
My bisoprolol were grey and then manufacture change to white with 1/2 linr down it.

Sorry forgot. Always worth checking with the chemist/ pharmacist. Mine are very helpful with my enquiries no matter how odd they sound!
