had a successful ablation 6 months ago following this my cardiologist stopped my Sotalol and prescribed bisoprolol 2.5 daily

Since then I have gradually been getting very aching joints particularly my shoulders ,back ,hip and neck I’m going to attempt to talk to my doctor about this.

Does anyone have any similar experience

Yes, Bisoprolol gave me horrible aches in my legs from the knees down. I had to go back on Metoprolol. It was a shame because I had felt so much more alive and energetic with Bisoprolol.

Hi, I’ve been using 1.25mg daily for about 4 years and haven’t noticed being more achey than before. I think my underlying issue probably causes enough aches. This probably doesn’t help, sorry. Good luck though.

Colingee, hi, I have been on Bisoprolol for over two years now since being diagnosed with Afib. I take 10mg in the morning and 2.5mg in the evening. In addition 25mg of digoxin. I can honestly say that personally I haven't suffered from any aches or pains whilst on this medication. Initially I was only taking Bisoprolol and found that my heart rate was still too high in the 90's. The additional digoxin solved the problem and I not sit in the 70's and drop into the 50's, low 60's when sitting quite or sleeping. My hr today so far has been 52-99 according to my watch. I have found that when I take my morning tablets circa 7.30am, it is best to have a biscuit or something light to kick start my metabolism. It could be that Bisoprolol does not sit right with you. Certainly worth a discussion with your cardiologist.

Why did your cardiologist take you off Sotalol? What dosage on frequency when you were using Sotalol?
