When I had my first HA almost 22 years ago (aged 39). I thought that my life had ended. Then my youngest just 6 at the time asked me "are we still going on holiday". I realised I had 2 options. Feel sorry for myself or get on with my life. I chose the latter. I'm a a couple of weeks away from 61 and just had Christmas with my daughters, granddaughters and I month old grandson.
LIFE YOUR LIFE do not let your condition dictate your action but just beaf it in mind. So for 8 HA's 2 ablation and 7 stents and a couple of operations and I am still here. I just modify my lifestyle for the maximum enjoyment.
Remember---You control your actions and how you think and feel, not other people. Be considerate but be yourself.
For those wondering. I just celebrated 41 years if marriage in September this year.
HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

Wishing you a very Happy New Year. I'm trying to change my mindset on my AF, it has been worrying me and stopping me from doing things but you've inspired me and made me realise every day is a new day to live and carry on with life....
That's amazing and inspiring, it's really is about mindset and living, it might require adjustment, but continue to enjoy our life with family, thank you soo much for sharing this. Really made my day. Stay blessed x
A very inspiring post Gazzer. Thank you for reminding us how we need to stay positive and live life to the full as much as we can. Others in the world may be cold and hungry. We are fortunate, let's rejoice in how blessed we are. Jean
I do have my down days but I just remember that I want to see my grandchildren grow up and be a part of there lives. We all need a focus. Just find yours and be true to yourself about your own limitations and adjust your life to be there.
