Could you please describe the uneasy sensation?
That’s the weird thing as it happening not sure what the feeling is. But then makes me anxious to pull over and slow down. No new meds. No loss of speach or numbness.
Ok. Do you suffer from anxiety? Could be panic attack, which can come out of the blue. Could be an ear problem which can affect balance, or neck problems. Really don’t have a clue as description is very vague, but whatever you are feeling l hope you find out.
I appreciate your feedback. Have a good day.
Trouble is now you have gone public you must stop driving till it is sorted. Here in UK at any least knowlingly driving whilst distracted is illegal. Our rules are that if AF is distracting you must not drive.
At a guess I'd say your heart will be doing some type of odd beat to make you feel so strange. There are so many ways the heart can beat incorrectly, an ECG would show what's going on. Have you heard of the Kardia which you can record your heart rate with yourself?
Hi
Was it tiredness?
I found out it is my BP goes low and I have 1.2ed the white Bisoprolol pill. My head is clearer with better stable vision.
Tested vision and optomotrist agrees don't need glasses for driving just 1.50 chemist specs to help reading.
Noticeable was bending dwn to pick up a ping pong ball. Also had to stop walking after less than 100m.
Improved immensely.

Arrhythmias can temporarily affect the blood flow to the brain and, if you search online, you'll find can cause some odd feelings such as brain fog, confusion, a light head and "distanced" feelings.

This post brought back my experience some years back, when I was first diagnosed with AF. I noticed an uneasy feeling in my chest or possibly stomach whilst waiting at a junction or at lights. I don't recall this happening whilst driving along. At the time, I put it down to the engine vibrations getting into an unusual synch with my wonky heartbeat. It also happened on a far greater scale at the O2 at the ATP tennis finals, when they would play really loud 'boom boom, boom boom' heartbeat sounds as the players entered the arena. I've not noticed it whilst driving for years now, just in those early days. I suppose anxiety may have played a part, also the stronger meds that I was still getting used to and no longer take. But a strange and difficult feeling to describe. Hope yours goes away, Hidden
After I had my Thyroid removed I never felt safe for me to drive again. I passed my test aged 17 back in 1963 and had driven all over the world for business.
I basically didn't want to chance hurting someone. That was back in 2016 and I have never driven since. Anyway it's illegal in the UK to knowing drive when not feeling well for any reason.
I am 81 in permanent AF with no symptoms other than tiredness and have a pacemaker that keeps me ticking over..
The first time this happened to me was 45 years ago a couple of days after my vasectomy; as we known from orgasms the groin area can transmit sensations all over the body and on that occasion I was in the right hand lane with traffic on all sides but managed to pull over - the trauma has affected my driving ever since. When I recently felt the spaced light-headed near faint feeling twice recently I was concerned that a developing linguinal hernia could be to blame, but have been assured that it was not and so perhaps it came down the the fact that my pacemaker had been recently replaced and I had been told not to drive for a month....but was
P S my wife took over the driving on these occasions - and now, a couple of months later it has gone away and I feel absolutely normal.
Driving has affected me badly the past year, i have become so nervous and see fear at every turning, but recently i have made myself overcome the fear and drove to places i didn't think i could ,it wasn't easy but i did it.
Yes, l know what you mean Secrets. Since l have had AF (nearly 7 yrs) l frequently have problems with driving. If l don’t drive for a few days, l seem to lose my confidence, AF has done this to me, and given me anxiety over everyday things and health anxiety too. If I didn’t keep making myself do things, l think l would end up being a cabbage. I thought it was just me! AF has had a great impact on my life, more so recently, now it seems to have progressed.
The heart does not be efficiently with atrial fibrillation. I noticed a difference after my ablation; in time I felt much better.
