The article is interesting. To read about new findings regarding the calcitonin-signaling pathway in the heart that acts like a "brake" on fibrosis is hopeful. It could potentially be huge for treating AF. It seems our brakes don't work as well. Studies like this, if they keep going, do give optimism and may potentially help with AF. Thanks for the link.
Ty for sharing Achant. It's worth subscribing to the BHA newsletter. Just put 'I am an Afib patient and do not work as a medic' in the job description.

This research was published 4 years ago, but I can't find much follow up research that progresses the potential benefits. Anyone else?
Thanks for sharing, well that makes sense, I take Diltiazem which is a Calcium Channel Blocker, which seems to have largely controlled my AF.
Interesting. I hope this can lead to better and more effective treatment in the future.
here’s a link to a very recent study confirming the role calcitonin plays in AF and the promising results from Calcitonin medication
