Just want to thank all of you who replied to my post re Apixaban clotting. It helped jog my memory on the history of my nosebleed clotting vs not clotting.

I am now pretty sure that it has not been due to Apixaban at all, but may be due to some supplements that I have taken.

So I hope to see the GP, also a pharmacist at the clinic who goes through meds and supplements to check on their compatibility. Hopefully this will shed light on the problem!

I'm an expert on nosebleeds as I have a genetic bleeding disorder! Things that make them worse: fish oil supplements ; veg esp dark green stuff like spinach; fruit; hot dry air; also laughing or crying πŸ™„Things that help: poor diet, wet cold weather, dabbing vaseline or oil inside nostrils (rose geranium is supposed to be the best).

Hope this helps 😁

Thank you for that interesting information, although I am pretty sure I don't have the same blood condition as you have! I wish you well with living in the best way you can - even if it means cold wet weather 😁

Devon provided ample wet weather last week especially in a little tent πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yes good to get the pharmacist to go through your meds and supplements. also check if there are any foods you should avoid as they can cause problems with clotting if you are also on anticoagulants or beta blockers I seem to remember.
