I think your long message to admin was mostly ok (as a private message), but perhaps the last bit was a little unnecessary.

I've regularly seen your forum posts and mostly they seem factual and informative. Your posts and others have definitely helped mt wife and I understand her condition.

On a very small number of occasions (as a reader with the benefit of seeing the whole thread) I have winced a little when your replies are particularly blunt/terse and I assume the original poster will probably be a little upset/miffed/ruffled by your reply.

That said, I think it would be a big shame to lose your input to the forum.

Glad to see that you've reached some resolution of your situation and glad that you're staying around. As for the quote; I would have replied to you directly but your post was taken down before I could. There are many versions of the wording of that quote but the earliest version is attributed to John Stuart Mill in 1867. JSM was a British philosopher and political theorist of the time. It was probably made famous by John F Kennedy who quoted it in 1961, I guess in connection with the Cuban missile crisis.
