I think I'm going to keep taking both for a week and see how I feel, I know there are proven benefits of taking these meds I just don't like feeling reliant on them. Thanks
I think it a good idea to continue your treatment. It will most probably settle down when your body gets used to the drugs. I couldn’t take them because l was straight in the bathroom 10 minutes after taking Digoxin and it was as if l had had an enema. Hope it goes well for you.
I had terrible heartburn on Digoxin although no one else seemed to think it was a side effect. Eliquis does not seem to bother me. I tried really hard on the Digoxin as I wanted to get off Lopressor but just could not tolerate.
I take apixaban (not digoxin) and have had some minor upset stomach issues which the doctor recommended I take after a meal to help with this issue and this has helped a lot. Also bruising that takes longer to go away which is not unusual and is minor. But I do not have any funny taste in the mouth with apixaban. That unusual taste may be related to your digoxin???
I'm taking the apixaban twice a day and the first one is very early (around 7am) and I just can't eat then. I have read thar digoxin is quite toxic so I'm sure there will be side effects with that.
I have been on Digoxin since November. It is an established medication and has proved to be effective in controlling my Af. I also take endoxaban - a coagulant. I did find Iwas nauseous to begin with, but am happy to say I am. Much better now. See how things go and if it persists talk to your Doctor. I also have asthma, which is the reason My Gp put me on Digoxin. The newer meds are not suitable if you have asthma.
