It’s been a while since I was last on the forum, I hope everyone is doing well.
I came across a YouTube video yesterday that gave the clearest explanation of the link between obstructive sleep apnoea and AF I have ever come across. Well worth a watch if you’re newly diagnosed with AF in my view. It’s called “ The Atrial Fibrillation and Obstructive Sleep Apnoea Connection” by an outfit called MedCram. I’ll pop a link below. Hopefully it won’t be removed given its relevance.
Yep, for an old git I'm doing fine, that said tho, Sotalol is knocking my energy for a six BUT the Ninja cat has left me in relative peace. Can't win them all I guess 😀
I've had a steroid injection into the AC joint in the shoulder and although it worked quickly initially the relief hasn't been long lasting. I next have to check with GP as to the dose they used and try and get them to use a more powerful dose, if applicable .
I have now retired again ( my second try ) so its now a case of adjusting to the three of us being home 24/7 ... me, ninja cat and Mrs Ben Hall1 ........... quite a challenge 😂😂😂😂
I’m glad to hear you’re doing ok - well, ok-ish! Hope they can up the strength of your next steroid injection. Being free of pain in your shoulder, even for a while, must have been quite something.
I’m sure you’ll soon settle in to the retired life and I imagine Mrs BenHall1 has a few jobs lined up for you to keep you out of mischief 😂😂. As for Ninja cat, it sounds like she’s playing the long game 🤣🤣
Great video. I have OSA, but none of my doctors have ever explained the connection to my heart problems as well as this video has. I guess I'll have another visit with the pulmonologist!
Glad you found it helpful. I have OSA too but only discovered I had it after I developed AF. Unfortunately, by that time, my ticker had been damaged by years of undiagnosed OSA , hence I periodically flag it up as something to be checked out. Good luck with your pulmonologist visit!
