I had an ablation for PAF in September 2023. So far it has been successful (touch wood) but I am struggling with inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST). At my post-op check up, I was prescribed ivabradine to ‘try’ if I wanted to, my decision entirely.
Has anyone else tried ivabradine for IST and if so, what was your experience on it like?
Thank you!

I am getting some short (few seconds to a few minutes) episodes of AT - can go for weeks with none and then have 2 or 3 in a week. I've had 2 ablations (AF) at Bordeaux in 2018 and 2023. My EP there Prof Jais thinks that the short AT episodes I'm getting are focal rather than macro reentrant. If things become worse/annoying I'll go for a third ablation. Ivabradine looks a good option for AT (particularly focal but macro too) as it slows the AV node condition form the atria to the ventricles and usually halves the ventricular response rate (from 2:1 condition to 4:1 conduction).
How was your experience at Bordeaux? I live south of Limoges and someone my husband knows had an ablation at Bordeaux and ended up with pericarditis afterwards. I have been wondering about asking my cardiologist to refer me to an EP and suspect that would be at Bordeaux .
