I take Xarelto and am looking for a natural anti inflammatory I can take.My doctor tells me I can take Turmeric tablets but the chemist says I can't

The chemist says I can take pineapple tablets but Dr Google says I can't

I don't want to take any more drugs .

Has anyone experience of taking either of these when on Xarelto please ?

I use resveratrol & I take Apixaban and have no noticeable interactions but I don’t take every day. You might also look at Ashwaganda - I steer clear because I take immune suppressants and may interact with some other drugs. Check on drugs.com or your pharmacist. I’ve used as a tea and it’s been ok.

I am taking turmeric (1 x 500 mg capsule per day) with xarelto with no issues so far.

Curcumin is the active part of turmeric and it can affect blood coagulation, which would be on top of that provided by the DOAC. That would worry me as we can never know what is happening inside our bodies, especially since the alimentary tract (throat, stomach, etc) is noted for natural occasional ulceration and similar.

Yes good to be cautious. Have you considered Arnica homeopathic pills. Also L-Glutamine is said to be anti inflammatory - my cardio thought it would be fine for me - but we're all very different, different conditions, triggers and different meds (I'm not on Xarelto) so it's good to check with doctor, cardio and chemist.

With our hearts it's better to be safe ...
