does anyone find missing lunch can trigger an episode?
missing a meal: does anyone find... - Atrial Fibrillati...
missing a meal
No. But I do find when I have a warm meal it generally settles any ectopic beats I'm getting

It's actually been researched and skipping meals, particularly chronically skipping meals, or long term fasting , has been found to be a trigger of aFib events but also increases the risk of someone developing aFib in the first place. There are various metabolic reasons for it , such as the effect of low glucose causing the body to need to work harder and forcing the autonomic nervous system to cope with the process of getting energy from internal sources as well as it causing changes in brain functioning and increasing your heart rate.
Having large meals then trying to be active straight afterwards can cause a similar set of symptoms and can trigger aFib too.
I find what I call “low blood sugar” from not eating in time sets off palpitations really obviously in me. These can on occasion develop into AF.

Yes, missing meals causes ectopics for me. In addition, having to fast and do prep for a colonoscopy is near impossible for me. I develop such arrhythmia that they won't perform the procedure.
