Here we go again with a sixth ablation scheduled for 4-2. Slipped into atypical atrial flutter a month ago and the response has been rapid at Lovelace Heart. Hopefully they’ll find the latest rogue signals and this one will hold for a bit longer before we go the P&A final route. Send the docs and me good healing T&P.

My son's colleague has had six ablation. he's been told he can;t have any more. I think flutter , which I had in 2019, is easier and more certain to ablate, so - fingers crossed!

I've had two ablations and am continuing to go back to afib often. Electrocardioversion brings me back to rhythm for 30-90 days and then the afib returns. I'm going to be trying new meds next week. Curious, maybe a dumb question... what is P&A? Perhaps a procedure I'm not aware of or not a good fit for me?

Thanks in advance.

All the best to you.

Pace & Ablate where the SA node is ablated and a pacemaker inserted. While definitive, it places one entirely dependent on technology which some consider a last resort not to be taken lightly.

Thank you. I appreciate the sharing of knowledge. It helps us all to better understand our unique afib.

Best wishes. I am considering ablation #4. and Watchman at the same time. Watchman recommend because my left atrial appendage was isolated. I have afib and atypical flutter.
