Pleased to say I have and hope to have some more things to celebrate this year.
I have just had written confirmation of my recent PSA test and a form to have another in one years time. It is still undetectable so pleased and I believe - though would have to look it up that it continues at the same number it has been since I completed my prostate cancer treatment. Going on for 8 years now so happy with that.
I am looking forward to hopefully having my last visit to the dentist for a year and having my new plate - I have had lots of work since last year which should have been completed at the end of December but hold ups with the laboratory and endless other things which have not been my fault have extended the whole thing. I joke with the dentist that I should have had all my teeth out and had a complete set of false teeth and at the same time assure her that I will keep myself alive (I am now over 80) to make the most of all this horrendous experience, almost weekly visits to the dentist and expense I do hope everything is OK with the plate tomorrow and I will be able, again to eat normal things! We are planning on treating ourselves to a lunch out so do hope I can eat it!
My heart is behaving itself and happy to say have no new ailments yet though have to have an "oscopy" soon for FIT test but not worried about that as had a few of those a few years ago and all well. Crohns disease and various probelms around that area are rife in my family and I count myself lucky to have got this far without major problems. As usual it is just the waiting and thinking as soon as I decide to organise a trip away the appointment will come up!

THANKS ALL. we had some snow here early this morning - its lovely and sunny now and disappearing but it was quite a shock! We had rain sleet and high winds yesterday. Apparently heavy rain forecast from 10 onwards! got to make the most of this lovely spell of sunshine!
That was something worth reading on this, so far, fine sunny morning in the beautiful Norfolk town of Holt! Thank you. Our holiday was put on hold thanks to a cardiology appointment that I daren't cancel.
Our elderly friend, now in his 90th year, has been on a drug called enzalutamide for his prostate problems for quite some years now and he has remained healthy with a very low PSA for many years. It does seem that drug treatment has improved well.
Yes drug treatment has improved immensely in the last years. So as long as men keep having regular PSA checks and keep on top of this we should see fewer deaths from Prostate Cancer. We just have to ensure that more men get checked out regularly from age of 45 or 50
