I have an Emay ECG gadget and it keeps saying “accidental VPB “ every so often, when I use it. Anyone have this show up on theirs ? I had an ablation in September. Not sure if I should worry about this or not.

May want to check your manual for any info. From reading, VPBs are common but may cause palpitations. If you are in NSR that is the key.
First time I heard of the Emay ECG gadget. Great reviews on Amazon and only $109.
These are PVC beats, I imagine. This is an extra beat that comes in too soon and causes a delay till the next often (with me) bringing a "bump" feeling and palpitatons. Everyone has a few of these, apparently, but if you're like me, you will get them regularly. Mine sometimes come in runs and can be PACs, too, which arise in the top, rather than the bottom, of the heart.
They are considered "benign" as, unlike AF they have no consequences. They can be a part of other heart issues, but you will have been told if so. I would try to ignore them although I can't, easily!

Thanks. When I’m busy, I don’t notice them quite so much, but I didn’t get these extra beats every day, as I do now, since the ablation. I thought at 5 months since the ablation, they would have gone away by now. Still they’re better than the awful AFib.
Hi there SC. I didn't notice it was you who had written the post. I have them regularly - too often for comfort, really. They don't usually mean much at all, I gather, and don't lead to anything. There is some evidence that they can precipitate AF in some people, it seems but I think those ones are PAC, not PVC beats.

Thanks Steve. Hopefully I won’t get AFib back. I keep reading different reports about how long it lasts. I just hope I’m one of those for whom it’s worked. I must stop thinking negative thoughts. I suppose having had AFib on and off for 10 years, I’ve always had it in the back of my mind, when will I get another episode. It’s hard to change my way of thinking.!! Trouble is, it’s not like having your tonsils out, you won’t know if an ablation has worked, unless AFib comes back. Hope you’re doing ok. Cath.
I don’t know what the long term statistics show. I did look once but didn’t find much out. As I recall, some seem to suggest it is likely to return at some point while others suggest quite a high success rate.
It must be a worry for you, though. The way out for me is a nice (small…) glass of red wine or a G&T! 😳😊

My tablets don’t mix with alcohol. I do occasionally have an Inch of Baileys.I like that, but just a little taste. I never drank much anyway. I came from a Methodist household, where alcohol wasn’t allowed. Although we did have a drink when we went out to the discos in our teens and I got drunk once, but never again.Awful hangover.!!🤮
Good old Mr Wesley. He kept a lot on the straight and narrow. Nice hymns, too! 😉

Had a lot of arguments with my Mother, when I was a teenager. I think I must have been a bit rebellious. 🤣🤣
Hi I have used Emay for a lot of years. It is American terminology. So these are Pvcs.I occasionally get these and I am counting the days to 1 year NSR.22nd Feb.I got them a lot more in blanking period.
Usually post excercise.
I contacted Arrythmia nurse then and told nothing to worry about.
If I get anything other than no abnormalities I usually read again .If it is persistent & any length of times I would seek medical advice .
Good luck in your journey.
Thank you. Good to know you’ve been in NSR for a year. Hope it continues and your AFib doesn’t come back.I got them more during the 3 months blanking period.Good to know that the nurse said they were nothing to worry about. I get them everyday, but they come and go. I will ask about them when I have my follow- up appointment on Friday.Good luck to you too.
