husband is in absolutely incompetent hands right now and we're looking to move him before more damage is done. Looking at Texas medical in Houston because people on the cancer site here recommended mdanderson and a particular doctor and we could not be more pleased. Since we have to travel to Houston for them and they have been amazing, I'm looking for best doc for tavr procedure. Suggestions?

Check the above forum which is more related to valve issues.

Debakey Heart Institute in Houston seems to have a good rep from reading but I have no experience and don't know anyone who was a patient.

DawnTX is from that area I believe and may be able to provide info. If she does not see this consider sending her a PM.

hi Mav. Sorry I did not see it sooner. I don’t know who the person is talking about Houston and DeBakey which is part of Houston Methodist hospital. They are amazing people although I did not have a great doctor there. That’s all I will say about that because I have been blessed with an incredible doctor now in fact, on the 13th I have my first anniversary of my amazing fixed heart because of that doctor.

I will be happy to talk to the person or anyone if they want to know about my particular EP, who works for the heart Institute of East Texas. His name is Dr. Aditya Saini . You can find him on YouTube and other places he is young humble and brilliant and a great educator. Not only to doctors but to me is a patient. Because of him I have learned not to be afraid of what was going on and he taught me all about the things that I will still feel that is no longer harmful to me.

There was no pacemaker for me last year. a year ago Christmas week I had a cardioversion fail even though they tried three times to get my heart working right. It wasn’t looking good for me, but Dr Saini told me I was not going anywhere he’s got me.

I had a list of questions, but he answered me before I even got to ask him that is when I knew he was for me, and I willingly put my life in his hands and he put his hands in gods. I have no doubt.

I thought he was teasing me when he told me I was unique, but it turned out that I am as I said, there was no pacemaker. There was nothing left for me. I was in Heart failure. Then, in January we spoke I was not happy about the thought of a pacemaker, anyway wow have I changed about that. For some people I think it should be offered fairly fast instead of putting them through the trials and tribulations of medication and procedures that are only Band-Aids, I have no regret about my pacemaker.

the uniqueness comes from the fact that he took what he did have available and worked with it specifically for what he came upon inside of me. By now it might be more popular HIS pace. Bundling is a relatively new wiring procedure. Don’t ask me to explain it lol. He taught me a lot, but that’s over my head. I seem to have atypical everything. I guess the stork put me together backwards before he delivered me lol. I never knew I had so much going on in there.

My pacemaker even has an app and they monitor me 24 seven including an engineer there are people behind-the-scenes that you can’t believe are there for you. If there’s anything wrong, your doctor is notified ASAP. It’s also been made clear to me. It’s not going to kill me because I have a third line that it can switch over to and keep me going. They can also pull a transmission from my pacemaker even right now as I am Writing this. March 6 is my next one. They just did one in December but if I am feeling anything odd I can call them and they will pull a transmission when I call them.

I had a little issue a few months back, because when we don’t know what we’re looking at, we can scare ourselves. My battery life suddenly dropped from 11 years to five practically overnight. I thought well if it drops another five, I’m dead. Dr Saini had me come right up to the hospital with him and we sat down the tech who is usually assigned to me. and an engineer from Medtronic on the phone. They have a way of going in through the back way to see what’s going on and can see things no one else can because of security..

Just to shorten this I will tell you that at that point my pacemaker was only in for a few months evidently there are things that have to settle, etc. so what you see picture on the app. There is a time delay for a few months and the company and monitors know this. If I wasn’t so inquisitive, there would not be a need for me to know, but I ask 1 million questions. Bottom line my battery is fine I actually have an average of seven years Before it will need to be replaced. Again, my doctor made sure to tell me he’s got this I’m not going anywhere. This was the beginning of me not being afraid like I had been of my pacemaker. I think it’s normal for us to fear the unknown which is why I love my doctor because he teaches me and explains as does his nurse. They are my best friends❤️

I have said it before. When you have a condition you have to get out of your head or you will no longer have a life. It will be all about your condition. I am not afraid to do anything now and I also need to remember just because I get a pain it doesn’t mean it’s my heart or my pacemaker. It could be something I ate or I did like pull a muscle. According to my EP, my heart is the same as others now I never thought I would hear that again. In fact, my heart’s Probably much better than it was because I have smartened up about eating, etc.. I lost 40 pounds in the last six months without it being difficult and oh what a difference I feel. Positive outlook is the healthy way to live. I am grateful for so much.

, Dr Saini presented my case in Dallas last year. I don’t know if it was a seminar or whatever but he was invited to come there and teach. what he had done for me so that others could also be saved he wasn’t bragging, but he was tickled to tell me.

Sadly, I don’t get to see him very often anymore but it’s for a good reason. He needs to move on and save others. I still see him quarterly and he’s there if I really need him for something. Dr Mani is my Cardiologist where I live only 15 minutes away with the heart Institute as well. He acted so fast when he met me I think I was with him on a Monday and by Friday I was having a cardioversion that was successful the first time. It was short, but it was sweet. During that time is when he turned me over to Dr Saini . Dr Saini is located in Lufkin Texas a couple of hours from Houston.

I believe I am a true success story like a fairytale I just want people to remember they are going to be some rough times. Some of it is our own fault we can be our own worst enemy, and some of it is just your body healing. I was told it could take up to a year to heal. Whoever you find for a doctor, you need to be able to talk to them and feel safe in their hands. Believe it or not my male carrier is the one that sent me to my Cardiologist. After the failure of the one in Houston I did not know where to turn. I had just moved to Texas, and I believe if I did not and I was not blessed the way I was with Dr Saini that I would not be here now.

The person that’s going to be in Houston anyway drop me a line and we can even chat if you want. If you decide to go to DeBakey, please let me know. who your EP is please because if it’s the one that I had, I am going to let you know and tell you what happened.

Hi I live in the Houston area and have been through quite a bit since arriving two years ago previously I lived in Florida anyway short answer to your question is instead of right in Houston. Look up my EP. His name is Dr. Aditya Saini of the heart Institute of Eastern Texas located in Lufkin Texas. Please do not judge by where it is and even checking out his résumé will not show you who he really is. He is fairly young and humble with a passion for giving us quality of life. I believe because of him I am still alive because this time last year I could not even walk My journey has been more than amazing and incredible. In March of this year he fitted a pacemaker and did an AV node ablation. And there was no pacemaker for me. I don’t mean the device but the entire wiring. This doctor was not giving up on me. I have what is called HIS pace bundling

This may not be exactly what your husband needs. I am just showing you the talent and skills of this man. He is a teacher, and so much more as I said, you would have to read about him and realize everything he is capable of. He is always there for me when needed. I cannot say enough about the entire staff and the team at the hospital there.

Previously I had a doctor in Houston at an amazing and extremely large hospital. I don’t blame the hospital for one man, but he’s supposed to be a rockstar and up on a pedestal, and yet I almost died not from his procedure, but afterwards the unprofessional way I was treated in other words just because someone has a big name doesn’t mean, they are really all that great.

My mail carrier is the way that I found this amazing doctor just because her parents use the cardiologists that works with him. God was watching me that day. I know he put this all into working order last Christmas week. I had a cardioversion fail. It appeared. I was reaching the end or maybe I wanted to. I was so sick because of my heart my life was full of crushing chest pain and the inability to do anything other than sit on the couch like a potato. I am now a living and functioning human again.

Please check out Dr Saini for the good of you and your family

PS a few months ago, he presented my case while attending something in Dallas. Afterwards they requested that he return to teach. EP doctors there so that they could save people like me.

oh, my pacemaker, and the way it is put together I am told is unique made for me. Others may have the same brand, but we are not the same. One day we actually had an engineer on the phone along with a technician that is with me at each visit.

thank God for my doctor and my mail carrier that sent me to him
