Anaesthetic ablation.

I’m in Oz. Had a successful (so far) catheter ablation last year. Twilight anaesthesia. Not GA. No problem and no after affects.

Glad things went well. I assume you're not from the US, where "twilight" unfortunately is hardly ever used for afib ablation. That would have been my choice, but I settled for something between GA and twilight, called MAC which unfortunately uses a GA agent. Brain fog and sleepiness for months after, no doubt in part due to the combination of GA agent used and my age.

Good for you! I hope the ablation will have the desired effect for a long time to come :)

Hi glad to hear a positive outcome! Now 3 months post ablation with twilight too in the UK and so far so good 😊 We’ll keep our fingers crossed we both stay as well as possible. Take care
