Is anyone with Coeliac taking anything other than Warfarin for AF? I manage my INR ok. I find it a problem at times. GP said it is better I take it. They can check because I might not absorb others well. Because green veg affects it. Holidays and meals out can cause problems. On holidays, my diet is usually totally different than usual. Takes a while to get back to normal. I've been told to eat less fiber. This means less green veg. This would change everything again. It's nice to just take a pill and eat anything, but I am grateful that Warfarin can stop me from having a stroke.
Warfarin.: Is anyone with Coeliac... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Warfarin.
I don't have Coeliac. I take Warfarin and eat vegetables and fish, but no animal meat. It's often said that Warfarin restricts green vegetables, but it doesn't. My arrythmia nurse has adjusted my dose of Warfarin to take account of the green veg. I do my own testing so I can see the effects of different green veg on my INR. It's important to always eat the same amount of green veg daily, so that your INR doesn't go too high.
Hi
Yes - Coeliac + AF .
When first in AF I was briefly on warfarin then switched to aspirin for next 5 years. Following a TIA was put on to Edoxaban + Omeprazole. No probs 7 years on....
OK many years of loose stools with extreme urgency but have recently cured that with pancreatic enzymes and excluding obvious triggers (Tomato & Potato), so adding that to Essential Thrombocythemia and its treatment side effects, life is interesting
- but reverting to your question - the blood thinner regime has worked out fine.
Keep taking the tablets and smile!!!
Hi. I have celiac. Is it ok to be on Eliquis? (The US name) the doctors never said anything to me. Is it better to be on warafin with celiac? Thanks!
