I am 82 years old, about 3 years after being diagnosed with AFib.
A measure of my improvement with the condition in recent weeks, is that I am a less
frequent reader of Health Unlocked now. Since being introduced to this valuable
resource, this regular bulletin of fellow sufferers collective experience, I have
gained comfort and support from the stories and anecdotes in its columns.
From the outset of this health issue becoming apparent for me, I believed that
there was a connection with very gassy uncomfortable digestive conditions. I used
to belch loudly and prolonged (in private). I began to suspect that organs in my abdominal postcode would not be happy with the regular gale force assault. My heart doing its best to plod on steadily, in spite of prevailing winds. My symptoms (during episodes) were rather strange, not feeling my normal self, uneasy, anxious. Always ready to try anything that might help, health supplements were tried and a combination of improved sleep and a quietening of storm conditions, seem to have almost sorted the problem. A nightly tablet of Ashwaghanda has significantly helped a sounder sleeping pattern. I came across some GUT health gummies (nice blue berry flavour) which are claimed to promote bacterial improvement with digestion. Also at mealtimes to take a multi enzyme tablet that definitely seems to assist with more peaceful processing of food. I strongly recommend any one with AFib and at the same time dealing with digestive problems, to try a similar path. I have experienced marked improvement with AFib, and .......its worth a try.
