made it home!

Thank you all for your empathy on all the stupid travel woes we had recently. We did finally make it home! Just a week late. And having been home for a week now, I feel it’s now safe to say we haven’t had any other repercussions. Have tested twice to make sure I hadn’t caught Covid in the way home. Lol, that would have been the final straw! Still recovering from the concussion, dr says it could take a month.

Best part of the rebooked travel, our cancelled flight turned into a first class ticket for the UK to US leg. It was an awards miles flight and last minute change gave us first class for the same # of miles. Woohoo! Flat bed seat in a quiet cabin, reassuring for my dizzy, aching head. And no tachycardia on that part of the trip at all!

Driving to Maine in a few days, going to just sit, relax, watch the waves and breathe in the sea air.

That's brilliant! Though a shame you had to go through all that to get the up graded travel!
