I would suggest you get an urgent appointment and get it assessed properly.Swinging between AFib and Tachycardia is no joke.

You may need a change in your dose or your medications, or they may think it's time to give you another treatment , but you won't know what is going on and what you need until you are properly examined.

You can't even be sure if this has started to happen for another reason like an infection with no other obvious symptoms or a salt imbalance or various other things which if treated in themselves could also stop the trigger and get you back to normal.

Take care and let us know how things go , Bee

Thanks. I usually have to search for triggers. Some work issues may have created more stress than usual and stress/anxiety is major trigger for me. I see my primary twice a year nd my cardiologist as needed. I will send ekg data and wait her reply.

Hi, I had tachy episodes about twice a day, used to make me feel sick and feel as if I would faint/pass out, had to sit with head between knees until it passed, perhaps a couple of mins perhaps 10 mins. Was left feeling sick. Because it seemed so unpredicable it meant I wouldn't go anywhere as I didn't want to passout in unfamiliarsuuroundings. Finally had ablation, privately, which seemed to fix it. Good luck

What is your high rate? Meds like Propafenone can cause tachycardia if prescribed alone but if rate not too high I wouldn’t worry but make an appt to be checked out.

Thanks. I have a great cardiologist and will send her the ecg data today. Heart rate spiked in the morning with activity, reasonable at rest. Tachycardia was in the 118-123 range. NSR after 9 hours which is about typical for me.

I'm so sorry that you are having problems. One BIG trigger for me is dehydration. My PCP is recommending that i drink >64 oz of water per day. I have a pacemaker set at 70 bpm, but i am not having too much of a problem now. I take 150 mg of Metoprolol per day and 100 mg Propofenone. You didn't say anything about your bp. If my bp drops too low i will have the symptoms u describe. At first i thought those symptoms were afib when actually they are low bp. As far as the tachycardia, i don't know how they lower that. But i agree with others that you need to see your cardiologist right away. Sounds as if if your treatment needs a full evaluation at this time. Good luck to you.
