Hi I had ablation 6;months ago.Still in NSR.Main problem Extreme exhaustion with no obvious reasons.Had loads of blood tests all ok.Before I return to GP I wonder if Meds could be the reason? I take 180 mg Diliatezem SR about 8.30 am with Bendroflumethiazide 2.5 mg,There was a post in which Someone posted when Meds reach max potency but I can't find it.Any info anyone.

Kkatz I was exhausted for the first six months after my ablation and at one point thought I was a goner. But after that I gradually came round and felt ok after a year. I suppose the ablation affects everyone differently and some people don't have the same problem. No idea why the dy eyes and lips though. tDilitiazem makes me very tired so I am on the lowest dose now. And I was taking Bendroflumethiazide for years until I was first diagnosed with AF and the doctor took me straight off it as he said it leaches minerals from your body. I take magnesium and potassium now which has helped a lot.

I hope this is at all helpful as I know what that fatigue feels like. Best wishes x

Hello,

I just had my ablation a few months ago and the recovery has been slow

I know everyone is different. The Dr reduced my meds recently and I do feel better, there is always a trade off with meds and one of the biggest issues with meds is dry mouth.

Dry lips and dry eyes might be related to a condition called Sjorgens Syndrome a Dr or rheumatologist would do a blood test, eye drops are usually prescribed, of course this could all be related to side effects of your medications,.

Good luck with your recovery, it will get better.

Thanks Tilos5 .I have been Tested for Sjorgens.Had a young locum and although I would say he had no bedside manner and I felt at the time he might not be listening he did a thorough top to toe and really comprehensive job.I think it will be down to EP to change Meds.Hopefully I will get my 6 month appointment in a few weeks.
