Fitbit vs radial pulse

During my perceived afib episodes of late my Fitbit and oximeter reads much higher than taking my pulse manually. Sometimes the the Fitbit is double the radial rate. So I question if I'm in an afib episode. Is the Fitbit and oximeter wrong? I don't have any other symptoms so it's unclear.

I find my Garmin HR monitor records 20-30 bpm more than my wrist pulse. The Garmin proved to be very accurate when compared to the 24 hr Holter monitor

The prevailing opinion on here is that it is impossible for any electronic device to accurately read the heart rate of someone suffering AF. They need regularity to collect a rate. So in my opinion it's a waste of time trying to use it in that way.

That's not to say Fitbits don't have their uses for us Fibbers. My cardio nurse told me that whilst Fitbits cannot diagnose most of the various other arrythmias and will lump them together as 'inconclusive', they are very good at detecting AF. My own subsequent experiences of using mine support this.
