AFibbers we are all here

to get some attention, so there!

We have irregular hearts

but we are not nerds

Fast, slow, hearts that don't beat normal

which cause us a bit of turmoil.

Try and think what you would rather have

may be a stomach looking like a pav

or a leg too big to move

what would our meds/procedures be to prove

that we can get beyond our trouble

seems to me to be less than double

where we are and what to do

we afibbers are all about getting sorted too.

Be glad we only have our hearts to be concerned

We will fight as there is nothing we can't overturn

Our diagnosis to be accepting of our lot

It is but one little dot

On our skeleton you see

That gives the distinction that this ME.

Hi now I've awoken fully!

Awaking with persistent AF

Time for pills but FIRST

is for thyroid to get me going

an hour's wait for breakfast and knowing

Diltiazem next to keep Heart Rate down and 62

is great for me too.

Another hour don't forget the anti-coagulant please

or Heart Specialist will be on my case .. see

He accused me stopping May last year

because it was not showing on his checking care

of prescriptions I had picked up

I told him to stop.

Checking I have a printout for PRADAXA in May

this year I will show him or another .. hey

This just the morning take

Bisoprolol and Pradaxa PM to keep me level

with BP as that's another devil

Then this AFfer is happy to admit

a Heart Rate 47 while asleep is a hit.

AF is not so bad

it won't make me MAD.

No doubt this should be spoken to a rap rhythm, eh, Joy?

Well done, but don't give up the day job just yet!

Folks are singing and dacing away their AF!

Hi

You are brave Rainfern!

I can feel your singing to good health.

The ferns under my deck are well rained on at the moment.

Let's make up an A F list to find out other meanings like

AWFULLY FLOUNDERING!

or

AWESOME FUN!

What's your level of heat? Where are you?

Sometimes we need to use in a describing way Rainfern. I'll send you some of NZ's cold. But the sun is out at a crisp 8ish morning. 14 degrees. Winterless North.

Drink plenty. Cold soup for lunch.

Hi Joy

I don’t wanna be coy!

Now I’m back in rhythm 🥁

That wasn’t always a given.

Now I’m super glad 😃

But I used to be so sad 😞

Can’t think of anything worse

Than the return of the AF curse!!

Not worth thinking about,

So I’m just gonna shout …..

So, what do I mean?

Just - give up the caffeine!

AF’s not your fault,

But do give up the salt.

My alcohol’s down to zero,

And NSR’s - my hero 🤗

My only wish for you,

Is that you’ll get this too!

Must keep in touch

Luv you all so much

Don’t despair -

Just take care ❤️

So Goooood!

Can you think of some words which could also be A F meaning?

I bet you are good at that.

Are you good at Scrabble? I must admit I love it and usually win.

I love scrabble just not very good when up against a word fountain 😂

I can think of lots of AF meaning - many would not be allowed on here but here goes

Wibble, wobble, jelly on a plate,

Oh no, what a state!

I can’t keep talking ,

While I’m walking!

My silly heart, it’s all of a quiver,

Eee ‘eck, I’m all of a dither!

It feels like I’m stopping,

and I’m my ticker’s flip flopping!

Pal that I’m with, just thinks I’m lazy

Ooo, er, all’s gone hazy!

All of a sudden - boom - bang

Hey! Hear that drum - I hear a band!

Thumping thumping, in my head!

Blood pressures up, phew! I’m not dead!

Sounds just like, one of my relations!

Fuzzy head and palpitations!

Said he saw spots,

Then threw off some clots!

Disabled became,

- never the same!

Didn’t think he was having a stroke!

Wouldn’t see a Dr - they just prod & poke!

They'll make your blood thinner,

You’ll be onto a winner!

Atrial flutter or atrial fib,

Could be the reason the heart does a jig!

Just go, get yourself checked,

Too late & life could be wrecked!

Hi

Excellent..

What an I missing out on?

I wouldn't be that fond

of my heart doing somersaults

straining itself out of the vault

I couldn't drive

or take 'five'

or sleep well cosy and warm

it would feel like a bee buzzing in a swarm

am I lucky that I have it

quietly controlled by a couple of pills

to stop the racing, sweating, fatigue unable to exert

not needing a pacemaker yet

I'm not trading mine for yours

that will close creaky doors

to alight from my 'cool heart' which is mine

I hope AF might go in time!

Hi Flipper

I watched 5 ORCA in the next Bay 2 Sundays ago.

ROSES are red Violets are BLue

AF is something that affects me and YOU

and I'm hoping that it GOES AWAY SOON.

Artificially Fake if I don't feel it now.

Can't be seen can't be heard

am I just another NERD.

Good one keep at it x

My heart's a naughty little creature

It's not my most appealing feature

I know that, if it has the chance,

That thing will break into a dance

Salsa, samba, tango too

I should sell it to London Zoo...

Love your poem 🙂

Hi

Eatsalottie.

Dance I love to dance too but no one here except my JAZ (dog mini schnauzer).

She was brought up joining in and when I say DANCE she puts paws up and we

swing side to side or I pick her up and she is swung side to side in her cuddlelike

pose.

AF likes to be treated with respect. Dance it away is easy sometimes.

cheri JOY

I love dogs, your Jaz sounds wonderful! I love mini schnauzers, they have such great eyebrows 😀

Cheers

Hi

My 1st mini was in 1990.

Then at 18months I took Lacey to UK. She had 6 months of Quarantine!

Over 5 years she had 3 sets puppies. Mating her with a Bristol top dog and then a Risepark dog. Lovely pups as mine was top USA breed.

Unfortunately pups got smaller and smaller. Lacey's daughter Devon had a 7 and 5 sets of pups. So lovely.

I had to buy Jaz Australian breed. A bit nippy but I stopped that smartly. She has a Grade 1 Heart Murmur. I didn't breed from her so I am hopeful she will live a long life as I am 74 and she is 9 years.

But with my AF and her sleepy-beep nature she is a patient little girl. I can't walk far before having to stop. A good pair of cardio disabled.

Keep up the dancing, add music. Do you like Enya. I love Enya.
